Put a circle in your calendar, this year’s fun-filled auction is MARCH 2! Book your babysitter and check out our auction catalogue at www.auctria.com/auction/WithrowSilentAuction2018.

Come for the deals, but stay for the amazing drinks and company! Enjoy childless conversations, bid on great deals, superb class baskets and buy raffle tickets for your kid’s class art or their favourite teacher experience. So many things to do, so much fun to be had – and every dollar spent benefits our students at Withrow!

Want to contribute to this event?

Only 2 more weeks to go! Looking forward to seeing you there!

Climber Update

The cheque has been mailed, the play equipment has been ordered and we await a start date!  It is hoped to be early spring (without interfering with the Fun Fair of course)!

The Fun Fair Needs You!

The date is set, the DJ is booked and we are already imagining 11am on Saturday, May 26th, 2018.  The sun will be shining as the fair opens for the screaming kids to eat, jump and run around laughing.  We still have spots on our committee and we’d love it if you joined us! (It’s fun, we promise!) If you’re interested, please email WithrowHandS@gmail.com.

Annual Giving Campaign

We always feel a little sheepish sending out the letter for our Annual Giving Campaign (AGC), but every year we are always surprised by our community’s generosity and recognize that people like to give in all kinds of ways. This year’s AGC raised $5830.00, which will provide so much for our school and children.  THANK YOU! Come to our H&S Budget meeting on May 3rd and see where all the money goes.  You will also have a chance to vote on where we allocate the monies raised throughout the year.  Stay tuned!

Volunteering At Withrow

One topic has been discussed at many meetings – how do we get new faces volunteering?  How can we ensure that everything we want to do as a parent community has someone to spearhead each idea and project?  One such example would be after school programming.  We see the void, we know what needs to be done, but there is no one to lead (or even co-lead) this venture.  It is very exciting when we receive an email asking “How can I help?” and it’s even more exciting when they share what they would like to do or where their strengths lie. We truly believe that more parent involvement creates a stronger school community.  New ideas are just as welcome as new faces so, hopefully, you can roll up your sleeves and help out. It often doesn’t take much!

Withrow Spirit Wear and Fundraising With Everyday Purchases

Our kids love to wear sweats and they are proud of their school, so we have put these two ideas together for you. Visit our Withrow Spirit Wear page to see all of the options our new vendor offers.  Remember the Withrow Red is fun for students to wear at their team competitions.

Another great way we make money is through our Fundraising With Everyday Purchases.  If you were not already aware, we have partnered with The Shmooz, Mabel’s Labels, Oliver’s Labels, Snack Pack Reusables, Cobs Bread and Squeeze Please (reusable snack pouches).  We see great opportunities here and would love to partner with more, but we need someone to take lead to help grow this prosperous initiative.
